“Teach children how they should live, and they will remember it all their lives.” (Proverbs 22:6)

Enabling children to flourish and succeed

War Horse

21 March 2018

On Wednesday March 21st, Class 4 travelled into Nottingham to the Royal Concert Hall to see the acclaimed show, ’War Horse’ based on the book by Michael Morpurgo.

It is the story of Albert and his beloved horse, Joey. At the outbreak of World War One, Albert and Joey are forcibly parted when Joey is sold to the British cavalry. Joey begins a journey full of danger. Meanwhile, Albert - unable to forget his friend - searches the battlefields of France to find him and bring him home.

In the morning, we were lucky enough to be part of a Workshop. We met some of the marvellous company of actors, stage managers and the amazing puppeteers. It was an incredible experience for the children and staff, who accompanied them.

A massive 'thank you' to Mr Cope and Mrs Garnett, from Waltham Primary School, for organising a special day .
