We are an academy within Rise Multi-Academy Trust who are an ambitious Trust. All RISE schools work closely together, which has strengthened and enhanced our school.  Their vision and their values place great importance on what we do and how we do it. 

We are a small, friendly, rural school that can cater for up to 105 pupils aged 4 to 11. As a small school, our numbers on roll vary each year and so all classes have mixed aged groups: Reception, Years 1/2; Years 3/4; and Years 5/6. We have high standards, achieving excellent results that are often above national averages. In order to support parents, we offer wrap-around child care during term time and holiday provision out of time term in the form of our CReW Club!

We serve three villages: Redmile, Barkestone-le-Vale and Plungar.  However, we also welcome pupils from out of catchment and out of county if there are places available.

We have ease of access to local secondary schools, including the nearby grammar schools in Grantham, as well as the well regarded Priory Belvoir High School in Bottesford.

We teach a knowledge-rich curriculum encompassing all subject areas, including art, geography and history. English, Maths and PSHE are central to our work. Our pupils benefit from subject specialist who deliver French, Music, PE and Dance. See our Curriculum page for more information.

We treat all our pupils individually, developing their self-esteem and confidence and enabling their unique talents to flourish. We firmly believe that by teaching children how to live life in all its fullness, they will remember it throughout their life and will be able to make wise choices that will enable them to flourish and succeed as adults in a diverse society.
