Uniform Information
Our School Uniform
School uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of the school and enables all children to feel a sense of belonging. It instils pride, supports positive behaviour and encourages unity with the school. Importantly, uniform can also protect children from social pressures to dress in a particular way. It also looks smart, something our children have told us is important to them.
Fleece, sweatshirts, cardigans, polo shirts and T-shirts all have the school emblem embroidered on them and are available to purchase from:
B&H Midland Services located in Melton Mowbray.
The range of items gives you wider choices and you are free to purchase non-logo items of clothing, such as trousers, skirts, white polo shirts, from stockists of your own choice if you prefer a cheaper option.

Please help us by clearly labelling all of your child’s clothes and other school items.
It is very difficult to identify items that look the same. We are always very sad that bags of lost clothes are never claimed – it is such a waste of parents’ money and resources.
Swimming Kit (when applicable)
Swimming costume (one-piece) or trunks (no swim shorts).
2 towels (one for drying, one for standing on)
Waterproof swimming bag
Book bags are also available from the school office.

Advice on the wearing of optional accessories
For health and safety purposes:
- Jewellery
- One set of stud earrings – lower ear lobe (no loops). These must be removed by the child or taped over during PE. NB We ask that parents provide the tape or to simply ensure that they are removed before coming to school on PE days.
- Wrist watch or Fitbit-these must be turned to silent so that they do not disturb lessons.
- One wrist band either supporting a charity or religion; it must be made of flexible material so that it does not restrict the movement of the wrist.
- Hair
- We request that when hair reaches shoulder length that it is tied up. This is one of the most effective ways to control head lice.
- Shoulder length hair must be tied up for PE.
- Hair accessories such as slides, bobbles, hair bands should be simple in design, preferably in the school colour - blue.
- Hair colouring – we understand that children may wish to colour their hair for specific events outside school. However, we request that parents check that the dye used is not permanent so that it can be safely washed out.
- Nails
- For good hygiene, nails should be kept short and clean.
- Nail varnish, extensions, acrylic/gel nails are not permitted
