“Teach children how they should live, and they will remember it all their lives.” (Proverbs 22:6)

Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Ofsted

Please find below our most recent Ofsted reports and relevant information from the Department for Education Performance Tables.

Our school continues to deliver high standards for pupils and the community, receiving glowing feedback from our recent ungraded inspection by Ofsted in November 2024.

The report below recognises that the school has “taken effective action to maintain the standards identified at the previous inspection”, when the judgement was that we are a good school with outstanding features.

The inspectors highlighted the “calm and purposeful atmosphere” at Redmile, where pupils enjoy learning and supporting each other. They recognised our core values of friendship, perseverance, forgiveness, and respect as being evident throughout the school, and how pupils understand the importance of these values.

Some of the comments from the report include:

  • Pupils, parents and carers agree that the school is kind and welcoming. The calm and purposeful atmosphere supports pupils to concentrate and learn.
  • The school is determined that all pupils will achieve highly.
  • Pupils know and live the school values of friendship, perseverance, forgiveness and respect.
  • Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported to learn the same curriculum as their peers. Teachers make sure that adaptations are in place to enable pupils to access the curriculum.
  • Pupils love attending Crew Club before and after school. They enjoy the varied activities where they play and learn together.
  • Pupils learn to respect differences [...] and about democracy.
  • The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.
  • The ethos of the school strongly promotes pupils’ personal development.
