At Redmile CE Primary School, we are proud to be part of the Rise Multi-Academy Trust – an ambitious and supportive family of schools. By working closely with other Rise schools, we strengthen our teaching, share expertise, and ensure the very best outcomes for our pupils.

A Small, Friendly Village School

We are a small, rural primary school serving the villages of Redmile, Barkestone-le-Vale, and Plungar, while also welcoming children from outside our catchment and even from outside the county when places are available. Our school caters for up to 105 pupils aged 4–11.

Because of our size, we offer a close-knit, nurturing environment where every child is known and valued. Classes are organised into mixed-age groups:

• Reception & Year 1/2

• Years 3/4

• Years 5/6

This structure allows us to provide personalised learning and build strong relationships across year groups.

High Standards and Wraparound Care

Our pupils consistently achieve results above the national average, reflecting the high expectations and dedicated teaching at our school. To support families, we provide wraparound childcare during term time and holiday provision through our popular CReW Club. This ensures children have a safe, stimulating place to learn and play beyond the school day.

Strong Secondary Links

We are ideally located for secondary school progression, with excellent transport links to nearby schools, including:

• The grammar schools in Grantham

• The Priory Belvoir High School in Bottesford

A Knowledge-Rich Curriculum

We deliver a broad and balanced curriculum designed to inspire curiosity and develop lifelong learning skills. Alongside English, Maths, and PSHE, children enjoy subjects such as art, history, and geography. Specialist teachers enhance learning in French, Music, PE, and Dance.
