“Teach children how they should live, and they will remember it all their lives.” (Proverbs 22:6)

Enabling children to flourish and succeed

National Blood Cancer Week

On Thursday 5th June two of our Year 4 girls lead some sessions to raise awareness of National Blood Cancer Week.

After a very informative whole school assembly the girls led sessions in all three classes. In Class 1 the children made get well cards for children in hospital. Class 2 created their own Billy Blood drops. Class 3 learned about blood cancer and made bone marrow.

Sophie from the charity Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research charity joined us on Friday morning for our special assembly. Afterwards the girls sold cakes, badges, cookies and wristbands. They managed to raise a massive £127 for the charity.

Lots and lots of hard work was put in to make the morning really special and informative. Thank you and well done girls!
